The concepts of Biotechnology are widely used in Biopharmaceutical plants to manufacture important medicines which can help cure many generic and fatal diseases, which are being suffered by mankind. These helpful medicines are manufactured using cells of micro-organisms and cell-cultures of plants, all manufacturing methods are processed in bioreactors which have many configurations. Other manufacture procedures genetic alteration of plants and animals are also used in production of medicines

Manufacture of medicines using genetic alternation of plants and animals is a controversial process, in this process there is likelihood of failures as such manufacturer need take some risks. Sometimes even if the research is successful and medicine is manufactured, government authorities may not approve this kind of medicine due to risks and ethical issues. As such, manufacturer would be losing all investment made in research and development of medicine if medicine is not approved for sale by the government. There is also another risk in manufacture of medicines in Biopharmaceutical plants, which is contamination of food crops with genetically altered crops.

All Biopharmaceutical plants needs to have reliable and good machineries, plants should follow procedures and guidelines given by bodies like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Manufactures should ensure that all the medicines are produces in clean environment with full safety of all staff involved in production. The final product needs to be tested by various clinical trials for many years after which they are approved for use for various diseases. If medicine does not meet the guidelines given by current Good Manufacturing Practices” (cGMP) and regulations of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) then medicine is not approved for commercial release.

These plant shave manufactured many medicines which are very efficient and helpful to cure many fatal and generic diseases, they have made great contributions to medical field. These plants also have various applications.
